PROPOSED PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The State Capitol Restoration will address the infrastructure needs of our 100 year old Legacy Building. This was once the State’s most modern building – it is now a State building with the greatest need.
This will be a comprehensive restoration that will include:

Enhanced Life Safety Systems
New Energy Efficient Infrastructure & Systems
• Addressing Building Deterioration
• Modern Technology Systems
• Restored Public Spaces
• Additional Visitor Amenities
• Additional Rest Rooms
Accessibility for People with Disabilities
• Additional Hearing Rooms
• Security Enhancements
• Additional Green Space

PROPOSED PROJECTED CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
Design Work: Current Activity
Construction Start: September 2008
Phase 1 Construction: Fall 2008 – Fall 2010
Phase 2 Construction: Fall 2010 – Fall 2012
Phase 3 Construction: Fall 2012 – 2014
Full Occupancy: January 2014

PROPOSED PROJECT COSTS
Construction Cost: $153.3Million
Non-Construction Cost*: $39.3Million
Phasing Premium: $5.2Million
Construction Inflation: $62.2 Million

TOTAL: $260.0 Million

*Includes: Site Preparation, Professional Fees, Testing, Management, Relocation Expenses, Furnishings
